    Assistant Public Affairs Officer Steve Labensky hosted a reception in honor of Carl Djerassi, Alfred Bader and Robert Rosner, three Austrians exiled by the Nazi regime who distinguished themselves in sciences and arts, with two of them finding a new home in the United States.

Richard McCleary, U.S. Embassy Vienna, attended the unveiling of a commemorative plaque for the crews of two U.S. B-17 bomber airplanes that crashed-landed in St. Jakob am Walde in 1944. Also present was Mr. Bill Brainard, former radioman on one of the planes, the B-17 F 42 known as "Laura."
